  4. Please note that this application is not protocol-compatible to the
  5. old Gobby 0.4.  There is no way backwards-compatibility could be
  6. established.  It might even change its on-the-wire protocol during
  7. single versions, depending on the libinfinity version it is compiled
  8. against.  It can currently be seen as a technology demo, but hope is
  9. that the remaining blockers for a stable release could be ironed
  10. out in the next few months.  More exposure to testing will certainly
  11. help with that.  Please do not hesitate and report bugs to the
  12. upstream bug tracker located at:

  16. This package is co-installable with the older Gobby 0.4 so that you
  17. can still connect to old servers.

  19. If you want to try out Gobby you need to access a server using
  20. infinoted (which is also packaged).  A public test server is offered on
  21. `gobby.0x539.de'.

  23. If you are using Ubuntu, backports of this gobby versions to older
  24. releases are offered on `https://launchpad.net/~infinote/+archive/ppa'.
